Without is a new musical, telling the story of a man who has lost greatly, currently living on the streets. Haunted by his past mistakes, he sparks up a friendship with a young runaway. On a journey of talking, fighting, finding old friends and busking on the streets, they tread the line of what it truly means to be without, and how to find a new home.

 

Created by our lovely composer Ben Tomalin, Without has been in the works since 2019. It was released as a concept album in May 2021, alongside videos filmed remotely over lockdown, and has since been featured on the BBC. After assembling a big team of creatives to make this happen, it is finally ready to be staged for the first time. We are absolutely delighted to be making our debut of this show at The Vaults Theatre. We are so grateful for the support and opportunity The Vaults team have given us here - thank you!
