Back for the first time since our sold-out 2015 production of the Bard’s famous pastoral comedy As You Like It, Purple Ostrich revisits moments from the play and explores them in a vibrant cabaret-style performance. 

 

We hold no punches as we look at how our main gals Celia and Rosalind’s issues parallel the struggles that women face in today’s society. 

 

Things are better for women now- right?

 

With assistance from Beyonce and James Bond (naturally!), this two-hander takes a playful yet no-holds-barred look at the shifting landscape of gender roles and sexuality. There will also be twerking. Can one have too much of a good thing?

 

So join us for a one-off wild and entertaining show that promises to make you laugh, think and feel all fuzzy inside.
